LADY TIGERS DOWN PINE-RICHLAND, 180-209
Coach Joe Bullick's Lady Tigers continued their fine play as they won
their sixth consecutive match with a 180-209 victory over Pine-Richland at Venango Trail Golf Course on Thursday afternoon. Senior Jackie Pielin led the way with a 41.
The victory improved the NA section record to 7-1 and their overall mark
to 12-1 on the season. The Lady Tigers will host Center in a section match this afternoon at Venango Trail. Match time is scheduled for 3:30 pm.

PIELIN, HERBERT QUALIFY FOR WPIAL INDIVIDUAL FINAL
Seniors Jackie Pielin and Jackie Herbert both shot an 83 at Cranberry
Highlands Golf Course on Wednesday afternoon to qualify for the WPIAL
Individual Championship. Junior Lauren Lancia shot an 86, but lost in a
playoff for the alternate spot. Senior Katie Crawford just missed
advancing with an 87.
The top nine golfers from the three section qualifiers will participate in
the final on Tuesday, October 7. The finals will be held at the
Cedarbrook Red Golf Course in Belle Vernon.
The Lady Tigers team is back in action today when they host Pine-Richland
at Venango Trail Golf Course. Match time is set for 3:30 pm.

CRAWFORD CARDS 42 TO LEAD LADY TIGERS OVER AMBRIDGE
Senior Katie Crawford shot a 42 to qualify as low medallist as NA defeated
Ambridge, 181-258, on Tuesday afternoon at Ambridge. The win kept NA at
the head of the pack as they improved their section record to 6-1, their
overall mark to 11-1.
The Lady Tigers will participate in the WPIAL Qualifier this afternoon.

PIELIN LOW MEDALLIST AS NA DOWNS ELLWOOD CITY
Senior Jackie Pielin shot a 40 to lead the Lady Tigers to a 171-209
victory over Ellwood City on Wednesday afternoon at Ellwood City. The win
improves the overall NA record to 10-1 on the season. Last Friday, the
Lady Tigers posted a 200-218 victory over Kittanning.
Today's match with Pine-Richland has been postponed because of bad
weather.

JONES LEADS LADY TIGERS OVER FOX CHAPEL
Senior Jen Jones shot a 41 to lead the Lady Tigers to an impressive
169-224 victory over rival Fox Chapel at Venango Trail Golf Course on
Monday afternoon. The win was the fifth against only one loss in section
play for NA.
The Lady Tigers will be on the road tomorrow when they travel to Ellwood
City for a 3:00 pm match. Next Monday, NA will host Pine-Richland in a
section match at Venango Trail. Match time is set for 3:30 pm.

LADY TIGERS BEAT SENECA, 178-204
Senior Jackie Pielin shot a 43 to lead the Lady Tigers to a 178-204
victory over the Seneca Valley Raiders at Seneca Valley on Wednesday
afternoon. The win improved the NA record to 8-1 on the season.
The Lady Tigers will be in action this afternoon when they host rival Fox
Chapel at Venango Trail Golf Course. Match time is scheduled for 3:30 pm.

BLACKHAWK UPSETS LADY TIGERS, 187-188
Coach Joe Bullick's Lady Tigers lost a tough 187-188 match to Blackhawk on
Monday afternoon at Blackhawk. Senior Jacque Herbert was low medallist
with a 41 as NA dropped their first section match of the year.
On Thursday, the Lady Tigers won a 202-236 victory over Ellwood City at
Venango Trail. Leading the way for NA was junior Lauren Lancia who posted
a 45 to take low medallist honors.

JEN JONES LEADS LADY TIGERS OVER CENTER
Senior Jen Jones shot a 41 to lead the Lady Tigers to a 176-184 victory
over last year's section champion Center Trojans at Beaver Lakes CC on
Tuesday afternoon. It was the third straight section win for NA and
avenged two losses to Center last year. Samantha Milosh shot a 37 to
capture low medallist honors for Center.
The Lady Tigers will be back in action again this afternoon when they host
Ellwood City at Venango Trail Golf Course. Start time is scheduled for
3:30 pm.

LADY TIGERS WIN FIVE STRAIGHT TO START 2003 SEASON
Coach Joe Bullick's WPIAL runnerup Lady Tigers have started the 2003
season on the right foot by winning their first five matches. In the
opener, Jacqueline Herbert led NA over Kiski Area, 178-230, with a low
score of 38 to capture medallist honors. In the second non-section match,
it was Lauren Lancia with a 40 to pace the Lady Tigers to a 188-250
victory over Kittanning. Lancia again took medallist honors with a 41 as
NA finished off the first week of the season with their third straight
win, a 167-189 victory over Franklin Regional.
On Monday, NA downed Pine Richland in the Section 2 opener as Jackie
Pielin shot a 39 to pace the Lady Tigers to a 174-181 win. On Wednesday,
it was Pielin again as the low medallist with a 43 as NA picked up their
second section victory with a 184-245 trouncing of Ambridge at Venango
Trail Golf Course on Wednesday afternoon.
The Lady Tigers compiled a 9-3 section record in 2002, good enough for a
second place finish behind the Center Trojans. In the WPIAL Playoffs,
however, the Lady Tigers placed second behind champion Upper St. Clair as
they posted an overall mark of 15-3 for the season.
