GIRLS WIN, BOYS LOSE TO ROCHESTER

The Lady Tigers posted a 7-0 victory over Rochester while the boys' team dropped a 5-2 decision to the Rams on Wednesday afternoon at the Beaver Valley Bowl.  The girls' team remained in third place with a 5-2 record while the boys' dropped into second place just points ahead of Ambridge and Rochester, all three teams with a 4-3 record.

Senior Steve Richey paced the Tigers with a series of 551 with junior Alex Kocent close behind at 543.  Kocent also rolled the individual high game of 203.  For the Lady Tigers, junior Lauren Schulties posted a 449 series while junior Lauren Rzeznik was second with a 440.  Sophomore Josie Gustavsen recorded an individual high of 163 for the match.

The Tiger teams will be back in action again on Wednesday when they host Hopewell at the Perry Park Lanes.  The starting time is scheduled for 3:30 pm.

NORTH HILLS' TEAMS EDGE TIGER TEAMS, 4-3

Both the boys' and girls' teams dropped a 4-3 decision to North Hills on Wednesday afternoon at the Pines Plaza Lanes.  Despite the loss, the Tiger boys' team still holds a slim lead over the Indians on points, 31-24, even though both teams have 4-2 records.  The Lady Tigers dropped to third place with a 4-2 record, one game behind both Ambridge and North Hills.

For the boys, senior Steve Richey posted a 626 series  to pace the Tigers with senior Kevin Davis second with a 591.  Richey rolled games of 215, 211 and 200 against the Indians.  Junior Alex Kocent posted a single high score of 216 while sophomore Harrison Turner had a 210.

Sophomore Kristen McCullough was the top Lady Tiger last week with a series total of 591, including games of 220 and 200.  Junior Lauren Rzeznik rolled a 495 series followed by freshman Kelly McCullough with a 489.  Kelly posted a 202 single game high.

The Tigers will be in action again on Wednesday afternoon when they travel to the Beaver Valley Bowl to meet Rochester.  Starting time is set for 3:30 pm.

TIGERS TOP QUAKER VALLEY FOR FOURTH STRAIGHT

The Tiger teams won their fourth straight match with victories over Quaker Valley at the Fair Oaks Lanes on Wednesday.  The boys' team defeated the Quakers, 5-2, and took a one-game lead over North Hills, a loser to Ambridge.  The Lady Tigers downed the Quakers, 7-0, to move into a first place tie with North Hills and Ambridge.

Senior Steve Richey led the way for Tigers with a 677 series followed by senior Kevin Davis with a 591 and sophomore Harrison Turner with a 537.  Richey posted games of 242, 224, and 211 with Davis rolling a 212 and Turner a 204.  For the Lady Tigers, it was sophomore Kristen McCullough who recorded a 557 series followed by junior Lauren Rzeznik with a 501.  Rzeznik rolled the individual high with a 222, a season high.  

The Tiger teams will be back in action again tomorrow when they meet North Hills at the PInes Plaza Lanes.  North Hills' boys defeated the Tigers, 5-2, while the Lady Indians downed the Lady Tigers, 7-0, in an earlier match.  Match time is scheduled for 3:30 pm.

TIGER TEAMS TAKE THIRD IN ROW WITH 7-0 WINS OVER AMBRIDGE

Both Tiger teams were victorious over Ambridge by 7-0 scores at the Perry Park Lanes on Wednesday afternoon.  With the victories, the records of both the girls' and boys' teams improved to 3-1.  For the boys, the win boosted them into first place ahead of North Hills with 23 points to North Hills 18.  The girls remained in second place behind North Hills.

In the boys' match, senior Kevin Davis led the way with a 684 series that included games of 244, 224, and 216.  Junior Alex Kocent rolled three 200 games, including a 239 while senior Steve Richey added a 210.  For the Lady Tigers, freshman Kelly McCullough recorded a 519 series with a high game of 188.  Junior Lauren Schulties followed with a 479 series and high game of 198 while sophomore Kristen McCullough rolled a 476 also posting a high game of 198.

The Tiger teams will be back in action again on Wednesday when they travel to Quaker Valley.  Match time is scheduled for 3:30 pm at the Fair Oaks Lanes.

TIGERS TEAMS BLANK HOPEWELL, 7-0, FOR SECOND WINS

Both the boys' and girls' teams defeated Hopewell, 7-0, on Wednesday afternoon at the Center Lanes.  The wins improved the records of both teams to 2-1 in league play.

In boys' action, the Tigers had showed balance with four bowlers recording series of 600 or better.  Senior Steve Richey led the way with a 620 series with senior Andy Timcheck posting a 608, junior Alex Kocent a 607, and senior Kevin Davis a 606.  In individual game scores, Richey had a match high of 228 followed closely by Timcheck with a 226 and Kocent with a 224.

For the Lady Tigers, sophomore Kristen McCullough rolled a 547 series followed by junior Lauren Rzeznik with a 519.  McCullough had games of 203 and 198 while Rzeznik recorded a 191.  Junior Lauren Schulties added a 176.

The Tiger teams will host Ambridge on Wednesday afternoon at the Perry Park Lanes.  Match time is scheduled for 3:30 pm.

TIGER TEAMS SHUT OUT ROCHESTER

Both the boys' and girls' teams shut out the Rochester Rams, 7-0, on Wednesday afternoon at the Perry Park Lanes.  The wins evened both team records at 1-1.  Senior Kevin Davis posted a 635 series with junior Alex Kocent rolling a 601.  Senior Steve Richey recorded the high single game total with a 248.  Davis recorded a 217, 213, and 205 while Kocent added a 240 and 212 and sophomore Harrison Turner a 204.

Freshman Kelly McCullough led the Lady Tigers with a 456 series with junior Lauren Rzeznik close behind at 454.  Sophomore Kristen McCullough rolled a 444.  Kelly McCullough posted a single game high of 204 while Rzeznik added a 175 and Kristen McCullough a 166.

NA was defeated by North Hills last week.  The North Hills boys' team downed the Tigers, 5-2, while the Lady Tigers were defeated, 7-0.
