North Allegheny is part of the Pennsylvania Roller Hockey League (PIRHL) which to date had grown to over 75 teams from 28 area high schools.  North Allegheny has participated in this league as a club sport since 1999.  Teams are made up from students in 6th through 12th grade.

The new league (PIRHL) is being organized this year.  In order for the league to grow, two additional rinks have been included, along with their respective school districts.  The two rinks are Hot Shots in Mt. Pleasant and Born2Run in Grove City, both about 50 minutes to an hour away.

In addition, a new committee has been formed to run the league this year.  The interim board members are administrators from schools that are in the league now.

The interim board members are:
Jim Lorish - President
Paul Salvagio - Vice-President
John Hunter - Secretary
Barry Bohn - Treasurer

All games are played at the RMU-Island Sports Center.  The games are played on an official sized rink, which is 185'x85' with full dasher boards and is specifically designed for inline hockey.  There are three 15-minute running time periods with no off sides or icing and it's played 4 on 4 plus a goalie.
