RENNER CAPTURES SILVER North Allegheny junior Karl Renner has had quite the summer. Not only was he the youngest player on the USAR Junior Men’s Inline Team, but he was also part of a squad that claimed a silver medal at the International Inline Games in July in Roccaraso, Italy. Team USA started out the Championships, and opened pool play with a 7-1 victory over Brazil, followed by a 6-4 victory over Columbia. The U.S. finished up pool play with a 6-2 victory over Germany. The Men would face Columbia again in the first round of the playoffs, and would top them once more by a score of 4-2. The victory over Columbia took Team USA to the Gold medal game against the Czech Republic, who won the game by the score of 12-1. Renner, the proud recipient of silver medal from the World Inline Hockey Championships, was a member of the North Allegheny Inline Varsity 2 team last season. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Any questions or comments should be directed to Athletic Director |
