NA CHEERLEADING BOOSTER MEETING

Opening Remarks/Old Business

JoAnn opened the meeting saying that Patty McClure would be selling tickets - by order of seniority - for the five home football games.  New Board members were introduced and minutes will be posted after each Board meeting.  Mary Ellen Austin and Beth Vuono approved the minutes for June.

Bonnie Woods is the new Secretary in the athletic office.  Susan Sweeney thanked us for the gifts.

Mini-Camp was a huge success, thanks to all especially Barb McGill and Ann Moss - 240 girls participated.  UCA camp lunches were served successfully - thanks to all who contributed.

Football Program Cheerleader pages and tributes are all complete and you will be getting your pictures back.

New Business

Football tickets and parking passes were sold at this meeting.

No ‘special’ busses are required this season since we don’t have any far away football games.

All Booster meetings will be in the Ponce Room at 7:00 PM on the following dates:  9/21, 10/19, 11/16, 12/21, and 1/11/10.

Varsity pasta dinner organized by Julie Hailstone - the 9/4 date has been canceled.  The next dinner will be held on 10/2 at Andrea Conley’s house.  Please contact Julie to sign up for food assignments.

Senior Dinner will be held 10/29 at Elizabeth Webber’s home.

Senior Girl plaques will be on display in the hallway between the pool and the gym and will be given to the girls at the banquet.

All cheer squads Tailgate before the 9/18 game - details to follow, Beth Vuono, Kathy Machiko, and Kelley Kaparakos.

Unite on Game Night coat drive at North Hill HS game on 10/30 @ NASH - Beth Vuono will chair this effort.  Coats will be collected at the game and the varsity girls will help fit people the following Saturday morning. 

Spirit T-Shirt sales will go on sale 9/3.  The chair is Sharon Burnham.  A listing by school follows:

            All single day competitions.

            2/11 - 2/15 UCA Nationals, FL

Treasurer’s Report - Ann Moss

We purchased new mats for our exclusive use ($7,433) - we paid $3,203 and the athletic office made up the difference.

Current checkbook balance is $14,000.

Elizabeth Webber and Patti Amos approved the Treasurer Report.

Clothing - Sandy Mencini

Girls received their clothing orders at camp. 

Wind suits are done and will be distributed soon. 

Varsity jackets will also be available soon.

Baseball T-Shirts have been ordered.

Megaphone paws have been passed out.

The girls were sized for hoodies.

Fundraising - Barb McGill and Michelle Pope

T-Shirts are the biggest fundraiser - please wear to school on Thursday, 9/3.

Sarris candy sales - please make checks payable to: NA Cheer Boosters, items may be delivered in 2 weeks.

Tambellini fundraiser coming up - info to follow.

Mini Campers cheer at varsity basketball games - discuss at later meeting.

UBO Report - Patti McClure

highschoolsports.net - website for directions to away games.

Scholar athlete program for fall/winter - two recognitions based on GPA, 3.4 and 3.7 are the bench marks.

Mary Collins was requesting a donation for Homecoming festivities - Jan Marroni made a motion to give $100 and it was seconded by Patti Amos.

Thursday night sleepover at Amos’s at 7:00.

Seniors picked captains (Jenna Hailstone, Kristi Vandergrift, and Hannah Webber) and cheer lines.

 JV Rep - Jane Marroni

Sign-ups are needed for popcorn, t-shirt, candy booth.

Captains were picked (Lilah Conley & Kacie Vuono).

Scott photo will be re-taking photos at some point.

Freshman

If interested in selling Sarris candy, let freshman rep know.
Pictures may be getting re-done.

Next meeting is Monday, 9/21 - Greg Bondi made a motion to dismiss.
