Zoey Dudek, Emma Jorgensen Sign Letters Of Intent

Two North Allegheny field hockey players made their college commitments official on Wednesday. Senior Zoey Dudek signed her letter of intent to play at Division III Albright College in Reading, PA. Senior Emma Jorgensen inked her letter of intent to play collegiately at Division II Seton Hill University in Greensburg.
Both players were valuable members of the 2017 NA field hockey squad that went 12-8 and reached the WPIAL championship game and PIAA playoffs. As a goalie, Jorgensen helped the Tigers to eight shutouts last fall, including a fabulous performance in a 1-0 upset over Fox Chapel in the WPIAL semifinals. Dudek also made significant contributions on defense in those shutouts.
Dudek is a member of the National Honors Society and will study Biology Pre-Med at Albright. Jorgensen is also a member of the National Honors Society and plans on pursuing a degree in Pre-Law/Political Science.
Three Lady Tigers Named All-Section, Two All-WPIAL

Three members of the North Allegheny field hockey team were named to the WPIAL Class AAA All-Section 1 team with two players also receiving All-WPIAL recognition.
Juniors Bridget Russell and Trystan Laughry, along with senior Olivia Scherrer were all selected to the all-section team as first-team picks. Scherrer also received first team All-WPIAL laurels, while Laughrey was named All-WPIAL Honorable Mention. For a complete listing of the All-WPIAL and All-Section teams, click here.
All three players were valuable to North Allegheny’s run to the playoffs and the WPIAL championship game this season.
