North Allegheny setter and right-side hitter Abby Miller has been selected as the Gatorade Pennsylvania Girls Volleyball Player of the Year. Miller is the second player at North Allegheny to receive this distinction in the last four years, joining Meg Morningstar, who received the honor during the 2014-15 school year.

Miller, a junior, helped the Tigers to a second straight WPIAL and PIAA Class 4A title this past fall. She recorded 430 assists, 232 digs, 146 kills, 58 service aces and 57 blocks this season. Miller is a two-time first-team all-state selection and was named the WPIAL and Pittsburgh Post-Gazette Player of the Year. A great student as well, Miller has maintained a 4.31 GPA.

Miller is now finalist for the Gatorade National Player of the Year Award which will be announced later this month.
