Continuing their impressive start to the season, the North Allegheny Lady Tigers blanked the Butler Golden Tornado on Monday night, 2-0, for a Section 2-AAA win.  NA and Butler battled evenly in the first half with the Golden Tornado’s best chance to score coming at the 35th minute on a corner kick opportunity. However, Tigers senior goalie Madison Martin came up with a big save to keep the game scoreless.  The NA forwards soon rewarded Martin for her save as the Tigers took the lead seven minutes later on a goal by sophomore Amanda MillerOn the goal, Miller hit the post with her initial attempt but finished off the rebound to give North Allegheny a 1-0 lead.

In the second half, the Lady Tigers defense ruled the action as Butler managed only two shots and scoring chances in the half. With Butler held at bay, North Allegheny put the game away in the 27th minute when junior Savana Yurick played a great through ball to senior Lauren Briggs who found the back of the net for a 2-0 Tigers lead and win.
