Lady Tigers Can’t Find Back of the Net in Loss to Seneca Valley

The North Allegheny Girls Soccer team took on the Seneca Valley Raiders at Newman Stadium Saturday afternoon.  The Tigers came into the match being shutout Wednesday by Pine-Richland, and the goal drought continued Saturday. After 80 minutes, the Raiders avenged the loss to the Tigers from earlier in the season squeaking out a 1-0 victory.

The Tigers only real threat came off the foot of Emma Bundy early in the first half.  The Lady Tigers had some good chances, but shots from Sophomore Sarah Schupansky, Juniors Hannah Kirkpatrick and Eva Ruppersburger, and Senior Alex Adams failed to get past the Seneca Valley goaltender.

The loss drops the Lady Tigers to third place in section 1-AAAA with a section record of 5-3 and overall record of 6-4.  They look to bounce back with another section game against the Shaler Titans on Monday night at 7:30 p.m. at their middle school.
