Lady Tigers Cruise Past Foxes, 3-0
With a dominating performance, the Lady Tigers pounced on the Fox Chapel Foxes on Tuesday night for a 3-0 win in a Section 3-AAA contest. North Allegheny swept the Foxes with set scores of 25-9, 25-20 and 25-12.
Junior Meg Morningstar collected a team-high four blocks while senior Jessica Samuels led the Tigers with 16 digs. Senior Ashley Leto played her typical all-around game with 10 kills, five digs, three blocks and an ace. Senior Jamie Robatisin posted 10 kills, four blocks and an ace. Sophomore setter Beth Muhlenkamp directed the offense with 26 assists.
Tacking on another win, North Allegheny is now 13-0 overall and 9-0 in section play. Fox Chapel drops to 2-7 in the section. Up next, a battle with section rival Seneca Valley on Thursday night. The match will be broadcast live via the internet on the North Allegheny Sports Network.
