Lady Tigers Volleyball Clips Butler, 3-1
The North Allegheny Girls Volleyball Team claimed a road section win on Tuesday night with a 3-1 victory over the Butler Golden Tornado. The Lady Tigers jumped on Butler early and earned the victory with set scores of 25-15, 25-10, 22-25 and 25-12.
Sophomore setter Beth Muhlenkamp collected 39 assists and set up teammates Ashley Leto and Jamie Robatisin for 15 and 13 kills, respectively. Junior Meg Morningstar connected for 10 kills and led the Tigers with three aces. Senior libero Jessica Samuels posted a team-high 16 digs in the victory.
With the win, North Allegheny is now 3-0 overall and 2-0 in Section 3-AAA. Butler falls to 1-2 overall and in section play. The Lady Tigers look for a measure of revenge against Fox Chapel on Thursday night, facing the same team that defeated them in the WPIAL Semifinals last season.
