NA Volleyballers Make It 37 In A Row With Sweep Of Fox Chapel
The North Allegheny girls’ volleyball team rolled to its 37th straight win with a 3-0 section sweep of the Fox Chapel Foxes on Thursday night. The Lady Tigers triumphed by set scores of 25-6, 25-13 and 25-21.
The North Allegheny defense stifled the Foxes with senior libero Allena Carmody pacing the team with 18 digs, followed by Malia Duffy’s 12 digs. Senior Kristen Chomos added some terrific passing to allow NA’s big hitters to feast. Senior Anny Sprys, junior Abby Miller and sophomore Paige Miller led the offense with eight kills apiece.
Following the win, North Allegheny jumps to 14-0 overall and 10-0 in Section 1-AAAA. Fox Chapel slides to 3-8 in section play. The Lady Tigers will host Seneca Valley in another section contest on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m.
