Third Place For Lady Tigers At State College Invite
The North Allegheny Girls Volleyball Team faced some of the best competition in the state at the State College Invitational this weekend and came away with a third place finish. The Lady Tigers finished first in both rounds of pool play and reached the tournament semifinals before eventually falling to Parkland, 25-23.
In the semifinal match, the Lady Tigers were led by junior Meg Morningstar’s seven kills and block assist. Seniors Jamie Robatisin and Jessica Samuels collected five digs apiece and setter Beth Muhlenkamp posted eight assists.
North Allegheny returns to action tonight for a major non-section clash with the Shaler Titans. Start time is slated for 7:00 pm.
