The North Allegheny Varsity Softball Team traveled to Harmony, PA, on Saturday afternoon to take on the Seneca Valley Raiders. North Allegheny returned to Wexford with a 9-2 victory over a strong Seneca Valley team.  Seven different Tigers scored runs in the game, with first baseman Erica Jelinek and courtesy runner Shannon Hamm scoring twice each, and single runs crossing the plate in the persons of left fielder Mackenzie Gostomski, courtesy runner Allie Green, designated player Logann Woodley, right fielder Anna Sardon, and pinch runner Olivia Schweiger.  Leading the way in a 13-hit Tiger attack was Gostomski with a three-for-four day, and center fielder Laura Cotter, pitcher Madi Beining, Jelinek, and Woodley with two hits each.  Cotter, Beining, and Woodley each had two runs batted in for the game.  For Seneca Valley, Jess Neill led the offense with two hits, one of which was a first-inning leadoff home run over the left field fence.

Following the Neill home run, Beining settled in and allowed only one more run, in the bottom of the sixth, in her five-hit performance, while striking out eleven and walking none.

With the win, North Allegheny raised its record to 8-0 in both Section 3-AAAA competition and overall. Next up for the Tigers is a Monday evening journey to Latrobe, who will host North Allegheny in a 7:00 start.
