Castillo was second on the team in goals last spring with 23 total markers. He also added 18 assists for 41 total points, as well as 43 ground balls. Castillo has been an important piece of the offensive puzzle for the Tigers over the last few seasons. He is a multi-sport athlete who also plays for the varsity ice hockey team.

The Battling Bishops compete in the Division III Men’s Lacrosse as a part of the NCAC. OWU had a great season on the turf in 2025, finishing the year with a 15-4 overall record, including an 8-0 conference slate. The Bishops won the NCAC Championship over Denison, giving them an automatic berth in the NCAA DIII Playoffs. The season came to a close in the second round after a close loss to St. John Fisher College in Rochester, New York.

Another commitment was established on Monday, as senior Brayden Sowa announced he will head to Allegheny College to play lacrosse after his final season with the Tigers.

The Gators are another squad that competes in Division III as a part of the Presidents’ Athletic Conference. Allegheny reached the PAC title game in 2024.

Castillo and Sowa join fellow senior Hawke Brian, who committed to Saint Vincent College earlier in the summer.
