One-time section foe Allderdice came to Newman Stadium for a non-conference tilt against North Allegheny as the Tigers paused section play with a 3-1 victory over the Dragons. North Allegheny had posted six straight shutouts, but the Tigers saw that streak snapped in the second half.

North Allegheny took a 1-0 lead in the 14th minute. Off a corner kick scramble, the ball found the foot of Luciana Zagacki, who slid the rebound home for her 3rd goal of the season. The Tigers made it 2-0 in the 37th minute, when Avery Ruffus took a nice through ball from Ava Hutter and chipped the shot home against her old teammate Emma Daley for her 3rd goal on
the campaign.

The Tigers would hold onto that lead until a rare mistake cost them in a match that they controlled throughout. North Allegheny turned the ball over, and Edinboro-bound Madie Schneider made them pay, sliding a ball past Jordan Beamer from 18 yards out in the 53rd minute to make it a 2-1 contest. That marker was the first allowed by North Allegheny since a 7-3 win over Altoona on August 23rd.

With a one-goal cushion, the Tigers looked for insurance and found some with two minutes remaining. Junior Bella Montgomery got free down the left side and deposited her 4th goal of the year to make the final score 3-1.

Even though North Allegheny conceded a goal for the first time in six matches, the Tigers did run their unbeaten streak to (5-0-2) with the win.

With the eventual game-winning goal and several other scoring chances on the night, senior forward and former Dragon Ruffus was named the Wright Automotive Player of the
Game.

North Allegheny (6-1-2) overall gets the weekend off with a Monday section contest at Seneca Valley and a Wednesday night home match against Butler, which can be heard on the North Allegheny Sports Network.
