Water Polo sweeps Cathedral Prep to cap regular season
North Allegheny traveled to Erie, PA to take on the Cathedral Prep Ramblers in their regular season finale. It was a successful night for both Tiger teams as the girls dominated Cathedral Prep 17-3 while the boys came away with 13-11 victory.
Girls
Bella Spino led the Tigers offensively with eight goals. She also had four steals. Mikaela Dassanaike had five goals while Sania Bedi added a goal and two steals. Siya Bhonsale, Lila Sonaer and Lila Torchia each tallied a goal. Katherine Vales made five saves in net while Myra Anand had seven saves.
Boys
The Tigers stormed out to a 12-1 lead at the half before having to hold on late. Callan Bunger had seven goals for NA. Tabari
Morgan added four goals while Filip Malezanov stuffed the stat sheet with a goal, two assists and two steals. Mike Stefanko allowed a goal on seven shots. Bryce Miller tallied a goal to go along with three steals while Gannon Brooks made three saves in relief.

The North Allegheny girls finish the regular season with a 9-9 overall record and 6-6 in the conference. The NA boys cap the regular season with a 19-1 overall record and a perfect 13-0 conference record. The boys did not lose to a team from PA all season. The NA girls will return to action in the state play-ins on November 1 at Wilson High School while the boys have punched their ticket to the State Championships that will take place from November 6-8.
