Boys Water Polo claims back-to-back state titles with win over La Salle
North Allegheny woke up on Saturday ready to defend their state title against La Salle at Wilson High School. The Tigers successfully defended the crown defeating La Salle, 13-8, claiming back-to-back state titles.
Tabari Morgan highlighted the night scoring his first goal from five meters out to notch his 100th goal of the season. He would
add two more goals, a steal and a block in the game. Callan Bunger led the Tigers offensively with six goals while Filip Malezanov collected a hat trick. He also had four assists and a steal. Mason Shantz tallied a goal while Mike Stefanko made eight saves in net.
North Allegheny finishes the season with a 22-1 record, including an undefeated record in conference play. The Tigers did not lose to a team from Pennsylvania all season. Congrats to head coach Damir Matanovic and all players and staff on another historic season!
