Tigers’ Skid Extends To Three Games

The North Allegheny boys’ lacrosse team traveled to Saltsburg for a non-section matchup with Kiski Prep. The Cougars bested the Tigers, 13-6, at home.
NA opened the game with the first two goals of the contest, courtesy of junior Mason Brown. Brown scored the first marker and assisted on a goal from sophomore Evan Wade. Kiski rattled off the next five goals to take a 5-2 lead at the end of one quarter.
North Allegheny found early life in the second stanza on a goal from freshman Carter Neiport, assisted by sophomore Sawyer Catchen. The Cougars found three more goals before the halftime break to hold an 8-3 advantage after two periods.
Kiski Prep the first three markers of the third quarter before North Allegheny stopped the bleeding. Senior Johnny Castillo scored to make the score 11-4 with four minutes left in the quarter. Two more late scores had the Cougars up 13-4 after three.
The Tigers added the only two goals of the fourth quarter from freshman Cian Gallagher and Wade for the second time.
Sophomore Sam Walters had 11 stops in net for the Tigers.
North Allegheny falls to 5-6 overall and heads into a critical section matchup on Friday back at Newman Stadium against Shady Side Academy. The Senior Night broadcast will be live on the North Allegheny Sports Network. Opening faceoff is slated for 7:00 p.m.
