The North Allegheny Boys Volleyball team swept Pine-Richland at UPMC Court Thursday evening in the team’s final section match of the regular season. NA won by scores of 25-21, 25-17 and 25-15.

After a slow start to the first set, NA found life courtesy of sophomore Peter Bratich who finished the frame with seven kills and a block. Fellow sophomore Will Robertson tallied three kills in the first stanza, while senior Will Hahn and junior Matthew LaMay each registered an ace.

In the second set, Robertson stole the show with five kills and back-to-back aces that gave NA the first lead of the frame. Senior Jeremiah Satcho had four kills, while senior Stone Gaertner and junior Eli Braun each had a pair of kills. Braun ended the set with a kill.

NA jumped out to their fastest lead in set three, as kills from Bratich and Gaertner along with a Hahn ace made it 5-1 in the early stages. Sophomores Robertson and Brendan Moore tallied two kills and a block, Bratich had a kill and two blocks, and senior Sam Kinzler had a kill and an ace in the frame.

Bratich earned Wright Automotive Player of the Game laurels for his work in all three sets. Hahn finished the match with 26 assists, while senior Nicolas Carioto led all Tigers with 27 assists.

North Allegheny improves to 11-1 on the season and heads to the Shaler Invitational this weekend before the start of the WPIAL Playoffs next week.
