Tigers Sweep Indians In Road Tilt

The North Allegheny boys’ volleyball team took care of business in the first road game of the season with a 3-0 win over North Hills Thursday night. The Tigers won by sets scores of 25-9, 25-17 and 25-20 respectively with all 20 varsity players making contributions.
Juniors Will Robertson and Brendan Moore led the way with six kills apiece. Senior Brandon Goetz also registered four kills while fellow seniors Elijah Braun, Dominic Laswell, Matthew LaMay and junior Nathan May all had three kills each.
LaMay and Moore each recorded two aces. Senior James Zimmer led NA with 12 assists, followed by juniors Jackson Failla with 11 and Elliott Swierczynski with seven.
The win improves the Tigers to 2-0 on the season as North Allegheny prepares to host the NA Invitational on Saturday. The team is back in non-section action with a road match against Norwin Monday night at 7:00 p.m.
