
Abigail Stager’s Hat Trick Fuels 4-0 Win At Pine-Richland
Against neighborhood rival, Pine-Richland, the North Allegheny girls’ soccer team rolled to a 4-0 victory in Section 1-4A action.
In a tightly contested first half, the Tigers scored the game’s first goal on a marker by senior Libby Earley to take a 1-0 lead into halftime.
North Allegheny broke open the game in the second half and increased the lead to 2-0 just five minutes into the half thanks to a goal by senior Abigail Stager. The University of Kentucky commit added another goal on a header with 24:38 to play for a 3-0 lead. Stager capped the scoring and completed the hat trick with one final goal in the 79th minute to close out a 4-0 win.
Along with stellar play from the NA defense, senior goalie Natalie Rak made three saves to secure the first shutout of the season.
With the win, top-ranked North Allegheny leaps to 4-0 overall and 2-0 in Section 1-4A. The Tigers will have the week off before visiting Butler next Wednesday.
