Alex Costa Commits To Trine University For Lacrosse

North Allegheny boys’ lacrosse senior Alex Costa has decided where he will be playing at the next level.
Earlier this year, the goalie committed to Trine University.
In four appearances last season, Costa made 13 saves in the crease for the Tigers. He has also played club ball for True Lacrosse Pittsburgh.
The multi-sport athlete has also been a defenseman for the NA ice hockey team. The alternate captain and PIHL All-Star had six goals and seven assists as one of the team’s top defensemen this season.
Trine University competes in NCAA Division III lacrosse as a member of the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association. The Thunder posted a 14-6 overall record in 2025 and reached the MIAA Championship Game.
North Allegheny boys’ lacrosse started the season with a scrimmage win over Peters Township on Monday and has another scrimmage against Mars on Wednesday before opening the season at Newman Stadium against rival Mt. Lebanon on Tuesday, March 17th at 7:00 p.m. Free audio coverage of the contest will be provided by the North Allegheny Sports Network.
