Boys Water Polo punch ticket to state championship for second straight year
The North Allegheny Boys Water Polo team punched their ticket to the PA State Championship game for the second straight season with a 14-6 win over Upper Dublin on Friday evening.
The Tigers were led again by Tabari Morgan who had four goals and three assists. Sophomore Filip Malezanov led NA defensively with four steals while also tallying two goals. Mason Shantz had a hat trick to go along with two assists and two steals. Callan Bunger reached a milestone scoring two goals in the contest as it put him over 100 goals for the season. Logan Purnell added two goals while Bryce Miller pitched in with a goal. Mike Stefanko made seven saves in net.
North Allegheny advances to the PA State Championship game where they will take on La Salle tonight at 7:30 p.m.
