Briona Rice Signs Letter of Intent With Slippery Rock University
North Allegheny senior forward Briona Rice signed her letter of intent Friday to continue her academic and soccer career at Slippery Rock University.
Rice gave her verbal commitment on April 10 when head coach Jessica Giegucz offered her a position on the NCAA Division II women’s soccer team in the PSAC. Rice will join a SRU program that went 12-4-3 overall last season and finished 11-3-2 in the PSAC.
For the Tigers, Rice scored three goals during the 2021 season and helped North Allegheny to a 16-1-1 record. She was also a part of back-to-back WPIAL championship teams in 2019 and 2020.
At Slippery Rock, Rice will major in Exercise Science/Physical Therapy.
