Five members of the North Allegheny boys’ lacrosse team have officially signed their letters of intent to play at the next level. On Wednesday, seniors Nick Sichak, Johnny Castillo, Colt Gibson, Hawke Brian and Brayden Sowa took part in the event.

Sichak and Castillo will also be teammates in college, as both players signed with Ohio Wesleyan University. Sichak is set to study finance, while Castillo will study business.

As an All-Section player in 2025, Sichak led the team in scoring with 46 total goals last season after netting the team’s second-highest total of 58 in his sophomore campaign. The three-year starter now has 123 career goals after scoring his 100th career marker in a win over Springboro in April of 2025, along with 58 assists for 181 total points. Sichak has been named All-MSLA Honorable Mention the last two seasons. He was also named the NA Lacrosse Offensive MVP twice in his career. Academically, Sichak has taken home the North Allegheny Unified Booster Organization Scholar Athlete Award three times.

Along with his high school accolades, Sichak was also a member of the 2025 ECD 2026 All-Showcase Team, 2025 True All-Region Games All-Tournament Team Honorable Mention Attack and a 2024 True Lacrosse All-Region All-Star.

Castillo was second on the team in goals last spring with 23 total markers. He also added 18 assists for 41 total points, as well as 43 ground balls. Castillo has been an important piece of the offensive puzzle for the Tigers over the last few seasons, totaling 90 goals and 50 assists. He was a multi-sport athlete, also previously spending time with the varsity ice hockey team.

Gibson is set to study business and economics at Westminster College. The senior is a multi-year letterman for NA boys’ lacrosse and became a key contributor for the offense his sophomore season. During his junior campaign in 19 games, he scored 11 goals and added 16 assists for a total of 27 points. He also collected 10 ground balls. Heading into his final season with the Tigers, Gibson has totaled 15 goals with 24 assists for 39 total points.

Brian is planning to study finance at Saint Vincent College. He was the recipient of the Saint Vincent Faculty Scholarship. The midfielder became a regular staple in the lineup in 2025 after seeing limited time on varsity in his sophomore campaign. Brian finished the 2025 season with five goals, bringing his career total to six. Brian was also named to the 2026 Foundry Cup All-Tournament Team.

Sowa will be a dual major at Allegheny College, studying economics and philosophy. He is an AP and honors student currently at NA. Sowa has played lacrosse for three seasons with the Tigers in the midfield.
