Four members of the PIAA Class 4A champion girls’ volleyball team have been tabbed All-State by the Pennsylvania Volleyball Coaches Association. Senior libero Avery Butcher, senior outside hitter Marin Dunaway, senior right side hitter Jamie Frisco and senior outside hitter Kyra Schmidt earned all-state honors from the PVCA.

Butcher was the team leader in digs with 369 on the season and also paced the team in aces with 43. Dunaway and Frisco tied for the team lead in kills with 235 each. Frisco and Dunaway added 34 and 27 blocks, respectively. Schmidt had a terrific all-around season in her return from a lower body injury the year before. Schmidt totaled 170 kills, 149 digs, 40 aces and 11 blocks. Her 40 aces were second best on the team. Schmidt was also recently named to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette’s All-Area Team.
