Izzie Trunzo Earns All-America Honorable Mention Honors

Recent North Allegheny graduate Izzie Trunzo was named to the All-America Interscholastic Water Polo Team as an honorable mention selection for the 2023 season.
Trunzo, a Gannon University commit, capped a successful career in the pool for the North Allegheny water polo team last fall by earning first-team all-state honors while also garnering Pennsylvania’s inaugural Goalie of the Year Award. A three-year starter in net, Trunzo made 711 career saves and posted 254 stops in her senior campaign alone.
A multi-sport athlete, Trunzo was also a four-year starting netminder for the North Allegheny girls’ lacrosse team. In the spring of 2024, she posted 148 saves and two shutouts on her way to first-team All-Section 2-AAA honors. Trunzo finished her lacrosse career with 518 saves and three shutouts.
