NA Cruises Past Altoona In Opener, 11-3
The reigning WPIAL Class 4A champions flexed their muscle in the season opener on Friday afternoon with an 11-3 rout at Altoona in non-section play. The Tigers jumped out to a 7-1 lead by halftime and cruised to an easy victory.
Senior Abigail Stager, a University of Kentucky commit, sparked the offensive onslaught with a five-goal performance. Senior Abby Lang, an Ohio University commit, netted a pair of goals and freshman Kieran Shannon tallied two more. Senior Jadyn Coy and junior Kanak Agarwal chipped in with one goal each.
Following the season opening win, North Allegheny will continue their road trip on Saturday with a matchup against perennial District 3 power Cumberland Valley.
