NA drops five-set thriller to Seneca Valley
North Allegheny traveled to Seneca Valley on Monday night to take on the Raiders in a Section 2-3A matchup. The Tigers jumped out early but ultimately fell 3-2 by set scores of 25-21, 30-28, 19-25, 18-25, 19-21.
Peter Bratich led North Allegheny with 11 kills. Matthew LaMay had eight kills while Brendan Moore and Nathan May each had seven. LaMay had two aces from the service line. Emmett Morris had 12 digs for the Tigers while Jackson Failla and LaMay each had nine. Will Robertson added eight digs. Garen White had seven blocks with Bratich adding five. LaMay and May each had three blocks. Failla dished out 24 assists while Elliot Swiercyznski helped with 13.
North Allegheny falls to 5-1 overall and 2-1 in the section. Seneca Valley improves to 6-2 overall and 2-1 in section play. The Tigers return to action on Thursday when they host the Pine-Richland Rams at 7 p.m. This game will be broadcast on the North Allegheny Sports Network.
