NA Falls At Kiski Prep In Non-Section Matchup
The North Allegheny boys’ lacrosse team fell to Kiski Prep in a non-section road game on Thursday night, 19-6.
The Tigers hung tough with the Cougars in the first quarter and trailed only 4-3 after one stanza thanks to goals from Marc Bartolomucci, Travis Lamark and Evan Lyon. However, Kiski Prep scored six of the next seven goals to grab a 10-4 lead with 8:50 remaining the in third quarter. Back-to-back goals by Christian Tedder and Bartolmucci trimmed the deficit to 10-6, but that’s the closes the Tigers came as the Cougars scored nine unanswered goals and cruised to a 19-6 win.
Bartolomucci paced the NA attack with a hat trick and one assist. Aidan Soriano, Matt Miller and Sean Boal tied for the team lead in groundballs with three each. Goalies Marc Melanson, Beck Taucher and Logan Lyle combined for nine saves on the night.
North Allegheny falls to 4-4 overall following the non-section loss. Kiski Prep improves to 9-2 on the season. The Tigers look to bounce back on Monday night with a home game against Butler at 7:00 p.m. The game will be broadcast live by the North Allegheny Sports Network.
