NA Falls At Shaler In Section Matchup
The North Allegheny boys’ volleyball dropped a 3-0 decision at top-ranked Shaler on Tuesday night in Section 2-AAA action. The host Titans won by set scores of 25-19, 25-21, 25-10.
In a hard-fought contest, the Tigers were paced offensively by senior Jax Wilhite with 12 kills, followed by freshman Will Robertson with seven kills. Junior Stone Gaertner added six kills.
Junior setter Nicolas Cariato dished out 27 assists and posted a team-best two blocks. Junior libero Will Hahn tallied a team-high 20 digs, followed by Gaertner’s seven digs.
North Allegheny slips to 5-3 overall and in section play, while Shaler improves to 7-0 in the section. The Tigers will take part in the State College Invitational on Saturday.
