NA Falls to Mt. Lebanon, 15-6

Both Mt. Lebanon and North Allegheny came into Newman Stadium looking for their first win of the season. It was the Blue Devils who opened up a close game early in the second quarter on the way to a 15-6 road victory.

Mt. Lebanon scored the first two goals of the game, before Jonathan Castillo scored his third goal of the season at 4:22 to make it a 2-1 game.

Trailing 3-1, Evan Lyon netted his ninth goal of the year to bring the Tigers within a goal at 9:59. The Blue Devils added two more score to lead 5-2 after the first quarter.

North Allegheny started the second quarter man up and Travis Lamark scored his first goal of the season 30 seconds in and the score was 5-3.

That’s when Mt. Lebanon took over, scoring eight straight goals and eleven of the next thirteen tallies to blow the game open.

Lyon scored his second goal of the game during the Blue Devils run to make the score 13-4.

On the night for Mt. Lebanon, Luke Prezioso scored five goals and Fred LaSota added four, while Max Prezioso netted a hat trick.

The Tigers did end the contest on a high note as Nick Sichak and Castillo scored 19 seconds apart to make the final score 15-6.

Evan Lyon earned the Wright Automotive Player of the Game with two goals and an assist. The senior leads the Tigers with ten goals in the first three games of 2024.

North Allegheny (0-3) gets some time off for the Easter Holiday before returning home to face Kentucky power St. Xavier on April 1. That game will be broadcast live on the North Allegheny Sports Network.
