NA Serves Shaler 3-0 Defeat

North Allegheny maintained its unblemished record on Wednesday night by vanquishing the Shaler Titans by a final of 3-0. The Tigers swept the Titans by set scores of 25-16, 25-11 and 25-19.

Senior Brendan Brown came through with a fine all-around performance, providing the Tigers with a team-high four blocks, seven kills and an ace. Senior David Haus notched a team-high nine kills and senior defensive specialist Luke Gwaltney added a team-best six digs.  Setter Antonios Balouris collected 22 assists and five digs along the way. Josh Huhn and Mitch Higgins contributed two aces apiece.

North Allegheny advances its record to 9-0 overall and 7-0 in Section 2-AAA.  Shaler drops to 3-6 overall and 2-5 in the section. The Tigers will rest for spring break before a home meeting with the Pine-Richland Rams on Tuesday night.   The match will be broadcast live via the internet on the North Allegheny Sports Network.
