NA Sinks Seneca Valley In Section Tilt

North Allegheny Girls Volleyball extended its current win streak to 24 games with a 3-0 victory over Seneca Valley on Tuesday night at home.

The first set was back and forth between the two teams until the Tigers took control. With the set tied 15 apiece, NA went on a 7-2 scoring run aided by two aces from senior Ella Deeter. The Tigers took set one, 25-17.

In set two, NA was rolling with multiple kills from senior Carissa Treser, Mia Tuman and junior Ariana Schiller. Senior Caroline Curran also contributed a couple of aces in the set, which the Tigers won, 25-14.

Set three started with a 5-0 run for NA off of a kill from senior Ella Zimmer, back-to-back Tuman aces and a kill, followed by a Treser kill. Junior Jamie Frisco also added late kills, including the match-winner, as the Tigers took set three, 25-14.

Curran led the team defensively with nine digs. Tuman recorded seven digs, 24 assists, seven kills and two aces. Treser ended the contest with eight total kills.

Deeter took home Wright Automotive Player of the Game honors with eight digs and five kills.

With the win, NA improves to 8-0 overall and 4-0 in section play. The team heads on the road to face Mount Lebanon Thursday in a non-conference matchup. Seneca Valley falls to 6-2 overall and 2-2 in section action.
