NA Sweeps Mt. Lebanon in Non-Section Tilt

The North Allegheny Tigers girls’ volleyball team remained perfect with a 3-0 sweep of Mt. Lebanon Wednesday night at UPMC Court. The Tigers beat the Blue Devils 25-17, 25-13, 25-19.

In set one, senior Marin Dunaway led the charge with seven kills in the frame, including five in a stretch of eight consecutive points for NA. Fellow senior Jamie Frisco also stood out with four additional kills. Freshman Molly Robertson also notched an ace and a kill.

In set two, Jamie Frisco tallied three more kills in the opening four points. She finished with five total kills in the middle frame. Senior Kyra Schmidt also registered five kills.  Jordan Frisco added two aces and a kill, with Avery Butcher contributing an ace in the set.

In set three, Dunaway started with three-straight kills, adding to an impressive night. Senior Elysia Smith also tallied three kills in the frame, while junior Mackenzie Jones added four kills and a block. Junior Brigit Murphy added two kills including the match-clinching point.

Jamie Frisco earned Wright Automotive Player of the Game honors with 10 total kills. Dunaway also had a total of 10 kills in the match. In addition to the strong third set, Jones led the way with 11 assists.

The Tigers improve to 7-0 overall and are set to take on Pine-Richland in the next section match on the road next Tuesday.
