
NA Topped By St. Ignatius at MSLA Tournament
The North Allegheny boys’ lacrosse team faced off against St. Ignatius on the first day of the MSLA Tournament and fell, 9-4, in non-section contest.
Trailing 5-0 at the half, the Tigers started to rally back in the third quarter with back-to-back goals from Marc Bartolomucci and Sam Porter to trim the deficit to 5-2 with just under five minutes to go in the period. However, St. Ignatius answered back by scoring four of the final six goals of the contest to close out a 9-4 win.
Porter finished with two goals and two assists to pace the NA offense. Senior Marco Pascarella joined Bartolomucci on the scoresheet with a goal in the fourth period.
North Allegheny slips to 9-7 on the season following the loss. The Tigers will face Archbishop Moeller on Saturday at 12:30 p.m.
