NA Tops Milford at MSLA Tournament, 11-5

In the first round of the MSLA Tournament on Friday, the North Allegheny boys’ lacrosse team defeated Milford, 11-5. Seeded 10th in the “C Bracket,” the Tigers jumped out to an 8-3 lead by halftime and controlled the game in the second half.

Sophomores Nicholas Sichak and Jonathan Castillo paced the Tigers with a hat trick each. Senior Evan Lyon and junior Travis Lamark tallied two goals apiece, while junior LSM Colman Craft also found the back of the net. Craft also had four ground balls and two takeaways. Sophomore Luke Rohan dominated in faceoffs and won 11 draws on the day. Junior goalie Logan Lyle made 15 saves to earn the victory.

With the win, North Allegheny improves to 11-6 overall with the non-section win. The Tigers will take on Spire Academy on Saturday at 10 am in the C Bracket championship of the MLSA Tournament.
