NA Tops Seneca Valley For Road Win, 3-1

The North Allegheny boys’ volleyball team extended its winning streak to five in a row on Tuesday night with a 3-1 win at Seneca Valley in Section 2-AAA action. The Tigers vanquished the Raiders by set scores of 25-20, 25-18, 23-25 and 25-15.

Senior Stone Gaertner paced the attack with a team-high 12 kills, followed by sophomore Brendan Moore with 10 kills. Sophomore Will Robertson tallied nine kills and sophomore Peter Bratich added seven kills.

Senior Jeremiah Satcho stacked the net with a team-leading six blocks. Junior Matthew LaMay totaled five blocks, followed by Bratich with three.

LeMay flummoxed the Raiders with his tough serves, notching a team-high six aces. Sophomore Jackson Failla was also impressive with four aces.

Senior setter Nicolas Carioto facilitated the victory with a team-best 27 assists, followed by Failla with 18 assists.

With the victory, North Allegheny leaps to 10-1 overall and in section play, while Seneca Valley falls to 6-5 in the section. The Tigers have a chance to lock up a share of the section title on Thursday night with a victory against Pine-Richland. The home meeting with the Rams will be broadcast live by the North Allegheny Sports Network.
