NA Volleyballers Steamroll North Hills, 3-0
The North Allegheny girls’ volleyball team rolled to a 3-0 sweep at North Hills in Section 1-AAAA action. The Tigers earned the win by set scores of 25-13, 25-7 and 25-10. The win is North Allegheny’s 49th in a row.
It was a well-balanced performance for North Allegheny, with senior Hannah Phillips leading the offense with nine kills on the night. Freshman Mia Tuman totaled six kills and senior Abby Miller notched five kills. Tuman and senior Malia Duffy each notched a pair of aces. Junior Paige Morningstar posted a team-best six blocks and dished out a team-high 32 assists. Defensively, Abby Miller led with 12 digs.
North Allegheny improves to 2-0 overall and 2-0 section play. The Tigers will take part in the Upper St. Clair Invitational on Saturday at 8:30 a.m.
