NA Wins 11th Straight With 7th Clean Sheet of Season

The North Allegheny girls’ soccer team earned a third straight shutout, and seventh clean sheet in the last eight games, with a 3-0 victory at Shaler on Monday night. It was also NA’s 11th consecutive victory.

In a low-scoring first half, the lone goal of the first 40 minutes came via a penalty kick, which senior Sam Braden drove home with 3:37 on the clock for a 1-0 lead.

North Allegheny’s one-goal lead remained intact until the Tigers put the contest away with a pair of late goals. With 3:29 remaining, senior Ally Ruiz scored to increase the NA advantage to 2-0. Senior Jadyn Coy tacked on one last goal with 35 seconds remaining to close out a 3-0 win.

North Allegheny leaps to 11-0 overall and 8-0 in section play. The Tigers will host Pine-Richland for Senior Night on Wednesday at Newman Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. The game will be broadcast live by the North Allegheny Sports Network.
