NA Overpowers Fox Chapel For 32nd Straight Win
The North Allegheny boys’ volleyball team powered its way to a 32nd straight victory with a 3-0 sweep over the Fox Chapel Foxes on Tuesday night. The Tigers won by set scores of 25-9, 25-12 and 25-17.
It was a team-effort to capture the Section 2-AAA win with a team-leading six kills from junior Ben Mendes and senior Drew Hunker. Senior Jeremiah Zemet and sophomore Timmy Ditka paced the team in blocks with four apiece. Senior Trevor Treser totaled 18 digs, while senior Nick Bridges notched a pair of assists. Senior setter Sava Topich distributed 28 assists.
With the win, North Allegheny sits at 9-0 overall and 8-0 in section play. Fox Chapel dips to 2-6 in the section. The Tigers will visit Butler on Thursday night in another section contest.
