NA wins five-set thriller over Seneca Valley
North Allegheny traveled to Seneca Valley on Thursday night to take on the Raiders in a Section 2-4A contest. The Tigers came back from a two to one set deficit, and blew the Raiders away in the final set to win the match 23-25, 25-17, 19-25, 25-21, 15-3.
Molly Robertson led the Tigers with 17 kills, she also had 11 digs. Keely McMahon-Regan had 13 kills to go along with 21 assists. Robertson and McMahon-Regan each had two aces. Bridgit Murphy added eight kills. Mackenzie Jones dished out 27 assists and had 13 digs along with two blocks. Macey Casten led NA with 28 digs, she also had two aces. Alicia Mokube had two blocks at the net for the Tigers.
North Allegheny improves to 4-0 overall and 2-0 in section play. Seneca Valley falls to 5-2 overall and 1-1 in the section. The Tigers return to action tomorrow when they travel to West Virginia to take on Morgantown at 7:00 p.m.
