NA Wins Third Straight At Fox Chapel, 13-6

The North Allegheny boys’ lacrosse team earned an important road section win on Thursday with a 13-6 triumph over the Fox Chapel Foxes in Section 2-AAA action. The Tigers jumped out to an 11-2 lead by halftime and coasted to the win in the second half.

Three Tigers posted hat tricks including senior Evan Lyon, and sophomores Nick Sichak and Jonathan Castillo. Junior Sam Porter netted a pair of goals, while junior Travis Lamark and senior Nick Palone tallied one goal each.

Lyon and junior Kaden Brown each totaled three ground balls. Junior Colman Craft corralled a team-high four ground balls and posted a team-best four takeaways to go along with an assist. In net, junior goalie Logan Lyle made 11 saves to earn the victory. Sophomore FOGO Luke Rohan notched six faceoff wins.

Winners of three in a row, North Allegheny improves to 3-5 overall and 2-1 in Section 2-AAA. Fox Chapel slips to 3-3 overall and 1-2 in the section. The Tigers will host Manheim Township for a non-section matchup at 4:00 p.m. at Newman Stadium. The game will be broadcast live by the North Allegheny Sports Network.
