NAVB defeats North Hills in straight sets
North Allegheny took the short trip to North Hills on Tuesday night to take on the Indians in a Section 2-4A matchup. For the second straight match, the Tigers defeated their opponent in three sets by scores of 25-21, 26-24 and 25-23.
Molly Robertson led the way offensively for NA with 17 kills. She also had two aces and 14 digs. Alicia Mokube had 13 kills and a block. Catie Cooper added seven kills while Paige Shanahan contributed five. Shanahan also had a block at the net. Keely McMahon-Regan helped with 41 assists along with a block. Reagan Riordan had 18 digs defensively for North Allegheny. Kiera Duffy had 10 digs while Dede Alualu added nine.
North Allegheny improves to 4-2 overall and 3-0 in the section. North Hills falls to 4-4 overall and 0-3 in section play. The Tigers return to action on Thursday when they host Butler at UPMC Court at 7 p.m. This game will be broadcast on the North Allegheny Sports Network.
