NAVB rolls Butler
North Allegheny traveled to Butler High School to take on the Golden Tornado in a section matchup on Thursday afternoon. Playing the second leg of a rare back-to-back, the Tigers kept the momentum going from their sweep yesterday, defeating Butler by set scores of 25-17, 25-20 and 25-16.
Will Robertson led NA offensively with 13 kills. He also had 11 digs and two aces. Peter Bratich added 10 kills and two blocks. Matthew LaMay and Brendan Moore each had seven kills. Elijah Braun had two aces from the service line. Moore led the Tigers at the net with three blocks while Garen White added two. Emmett Morris had 10 digs and Jackson Failla helped with eight. Elliot Swierczynski dished out 20 assists while Failla added 17.
North Allegheny improves to 9-1 overall and 5-1 in the section. Butler falls to 6-6 overall and 2-5 in section play. The Tigers return to action on Tuesday when they take on Seneca Valley in a battle for first place. Both teams have one loss in the section. The match is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. and can be heard on the North Allegheny Sports Network.
