NAVB rolls past Norwin
North Allegheny traveled to Norwin High School on Monday night to battle the Knights in a non-section contest. It was a competitive first and third set but the Tigers got the sweep defeating Norwin 3-0 (25-19, 25-8, 25-21).
Matthew LaMay led the Tigers offensively with 11 kills. He also led NA on the service line with two aces. Brendan Moore had 10 kills while Elijah Braun and Peter Bratich each had five kills. Elliot Swierczynski, Braun and Ryan Young each had an ace. Aidan Mowry led North Allegheny on defense with 15 digs. Emmett Morris added 12 digs while LeMay had eight. Karen White and Nathan May each had two blocks. James Zimmer dished out 14 assists. Jackson Failla added 12 while Swierczynski contributed 10 assists.
North Allegheny improves to 3-0 overall. Norwin falls to 2-3. The Tigers start section play later today when they travel to Moon in a battle of Tigers starting at 7:15 p.m.
