NAVB sweeps Moon
North Allegheny traveled to Moon High School on Monday night to open the section portion of their 2025 season. The Tigers of NA got section play off to a great start defeating the Moon Tigers by set scores of 25-12, 25-11 and 25-15
Brendan Moore led NA on offense with six kills. Jackson Failla, Matthew LaMay and Garen White all had four kills while Ryan Young had three. Nicholas DiPrato and Peter Bratich each had two aces from the service line. Nathan May had two blocks at the net while Dominic Laswell and Elijah Braun each had a block. Aidan Mowry and White each had five digs while Emmett Morris, Moore and DiPrato all had four. Gavin Swierczynski and James Zimmer each dished out 10 assists while Failla contributed with seven.
North Allegheny improves to 4-0 overall and 1-0 in section play. Moon falls to 1-6 overall and 0-2 in the section. The Tigers return to action on Thursday when they host the Butler Golden Tornado at UPMC Court at 7 p.m. This game will be broadcast live on the North Allegheny Sports Network.
