Everest Academy made its annual trek to Western Pennsylvania for some lacrosse action, and the Eagles made it a successful trip, one night after beating Pine-Richland, they handed North Allegheny its second consecutive loss 14-7 at Newman Stadium.

Everest netted the games first two goals by Alex Morrissette and Christian McKinnon for a 2-0 lead. The Tigers answered with two first quarter goals of their own.

Mason Brown scored off an assist from Brandt Hoffman, and when Colt Gibson found Carter Neiport alone in front, the Tigers tied the game late in the opening quarter. The goal for the freshman Neiport was his first as a Tiger.

Everest would rattle of the next six goals, as North Allegheny never led in the contest.

Cam Meadows, Lucas Williams twice, scored in the second quarter for a 5-2 Eagles lead at halftime.

Morrissette and Meadows each added a second tally, and when Noah Candy scored halfway through the third quarter, the score was 8-2 Eagles.

Johnny Castillo scored his fourth goal of the season, and Brown netted his second of the game off a feed from Sawyer Catchen to bring North Allegheny within four late in the third quarter.

Williams completed the hat trick 40 seconds after Brown scored for a 9-4 Everest lead at the end of three quarters.

That would spark a five-goal run for the Eagles, as Bennett Driscoll, Raleigh MacPherson, Joaquin Gatt and Candy scored for 13-5 Eagles lead.

Brown scored his third of the game for the Tigers, before Caleb Boyle answered for Everest.

Sophomore Evan Wade scored twice in the final minute for North Allegheny, the second marker assisted by Castillo to make the final score 14-7.

Wade and Brown have scored goals in all five games this season for the Tigers, with Castillo getting points in every game as well for North Allegheny. Wade has a team leading twelve goals on the season.

Senior Alex Costa made eight saves in goal for the Tigers, one day after participating in the PIHL 3A All-Star game as a defenseman.

Senior Maddox Susini paced North Allegheny with four ground balls and three caused turnovers. Freshman Cian Gallagher had four face off wins for the Tigers.

With his second hat trick of the year, junior Mason Brown was chosen as the Wright Automotive Player of the Game. Brown now has scored 11 goals for North Allegheny.

The Tigers get a break, through the Easter weekend, as their next game is in eight days against Mt. Lebanon. That contest is a rescheduled game from earlier in the season and will face off at 7:00 PM on April 8th. It will be broadcast on the North Allegheny Sports Network.
