Sichak Reaches 100 Career Goal Mark In Tiger Victory

The North Allegheny boys’ lacrosse team hit the road to Ohio to face Springboro. In a lopsided affair, the Tigers came away with a 13-3 win, while junior Nick Sichak scored his 100th career goal in an NA uniform.

North Allegheny jumped out to an early lead courtesy of back-to-back markers from senior Sam Porter, assisted by Sichak, who then found the back of the net for the first time, assisted by junior Hawke Brian. The Tigers held a 3-1 lead after the first quarter.

Sichak scored his second of the game assisted by fellow junior Johnny Castillo to take a 4-2 lead in the early stages of the second frame. Less than two minutes later junior Jack Dimond scored, assisted by Brian. Sichak picked up goals three (#100) and four right before the half came to a close, with another Castillo assist on the fourth marker. Castillo then found the back of the net with less than two seconds before halftime, assisted by junior Ian Boal. NA held an 8-2 lead after two quarters.

Castillo and sophomore Mason Brown scored to begin the third stanza, followed by the hat trick marker for Castillo as the Tigers led 11-2. Sichak also scored his fifth of the contest before the quarter ran out. Dimond had the lone NA tally in the final quarter.

Senior goalkeeper Logan Lyle looked sharp in net stopping 14 stops. Senior Kaden Brown finished the game with three ground balls and two takeaways. Sichak finished the game with 5 goals and three assists while Castillo had three goals, assists and ground balls.

With the win, North Allegheny improves to 3-5 overall. The team has a quick turnaround, staying in the state of Ohio to face Archbishop Moeller tomorrow morning at 11:00 a.m.
